Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett is an Canadian actress who is best known for appearing in movies like "Apartment Hunting, 'Men with Brooms,' and 'The Tree of Life.' She was raised in Spalding and graduated from the high school in Alberta. She began to develop an interest in acting during her teens. She attended Montreal's National Theatre School to continue her acting training. In Moscow, she also attended the Moscow Theatre School. She first appeared on television in 1996 as a supporting actor on the Canadian show 'The Rez. In the year 1996, she was a supporting role in the series from Canada called 'The Rez.' Her film debut came in late 1990s with the film Papertrail. She then was in films such as "Men with Brooms, "Cypher," and many more. She also appeared in the supporting roles in shows such as "A Nero Wolfe Mystery,' and Blue Murder. While she continued appearing in films throughout the decade, her film appearances were less than those of her television roles. In 1998, she also played the lead role as "Colleen Blessed" in the Canadian drama series "Power Play.' The show received both praise from critics and the public and ran for two seasons and 26 episodes. For her part in the show, she was nominated to the Gemini Award. Jude Lyon Matchett was her first child. However, she didn't reveal the name of her son's father. According to some sources the father of her son was her ex-boyfriend. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke in the mid-1990s, and they began dating. They were finally married in 1998. They divorced in 2006 after their marriage broke in the middle of the year.
