Charisma Carpenter, born July 23rd 1970 She is an American actor. Cordelia Chase played the character as Cordelia in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural series (1997-1999) as well as its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She was a cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers football club in the year 1991. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male colleagues were assaulted by Henry Hubbard Jr., the former San Diego police officer and serial rapist, who attempted to subdue them at gunpoint. Both Hubbard Jr. as well as her companions were wounded in the fight. They both survived. Hubbard was detained, later found guilty, and sentenced to 56 years in prison for a series of robberies and rapes. Carpenter had brought Hubbard his flashlight from the police station on the beach. He had left it in the area. The flashlight turned out to be an important piece of evidence against Hubbard.
