Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18, 1979) is an American actor from America. Her appearances on The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most popular. She also played the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played an unimportant role in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born on the 18th of December 1979 in Washington, D.C. Her family was raised in Sterling, Virginia, as and Jacksonville, Florida. While at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville the actress began performing in various college, amateur, and professional theatre productions. She graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia, and later pursued an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School for the Arts.Swallow began her professional career on Broadway theatre and was a part of diverse productions, such as High Fidelity, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie Theater, Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare in the Park, and the world premiere of off Broadway shows Romantic Poetry and Measure for Pleasure.In 2008, Swallow made her film debut in the military drama The Lucky Ones. She was one of the stars in the world premiere of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. She also appeared alongside Mark Rylance in Louis JenkinsThe play Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. She was awarded the Falstaff Award for best Female Performer in 2010 for her performance as Kate in the film The Taming Of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman devised the stage show Jac N Swallow in which they performed in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show is about their hilarious mishaps as they confront various life situations.
