Sofia Margarita Vergara is a Colombian-American presenter and actress. Vergara was the highest-paid female actress on American television from 2013 until 2020. Vergara rose in prominence in her role as host of two shows on Univision's Spanish-language TV network in the early 1990s. Chasing Papi (2003) was her first role in a major role in English. After that, she was featured in Four Brothers (2005), Tyler Perry's Comedies Meet the Browns (2008) and Madea Goes to Jail (2009 that earned her an ALMA Award nomination).
