Paula Faris
Paula Faris, an American journalist,
worked previously as a TV correspondent for ABC News. Her most well-known work
is her stint as cohost of Good Morning America Weekend, between 2014 and 2018,
as well as hosting of The View, 2015-2018. Before that she was co-anchor of
America This Morning (World News Now) and America This Morning (America This
Morning). After graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs
including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio.
Because of the lack of opportunities available on TV, she took an opening as a
radio sales representative. Then she was able to work for one year as a
producer assistant at WKEF/WRGT and later occasionally anchor or report. She
was the weekend and weekday sports anchors for WCPO TV, Cincinnati, from 2002
to 2005. Following the expiration of her contract, she became a anchor and
sports reporter at the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV in Chicago between November 2005
and December 2011. In December 2011 it was revealed that she has been hired by
the news division of ABC, ABC News. Her debut on the network was on the 2nd of
January, 2012 on ABC's World News Now, and America This Morning. She was also
on Good Morning America's fill in program, Good Morning America, from January 2,
2012. Then, she was promoted to New York-based correspondent on every ABC News
programs. Her final episode of World News Now and America This Morning was
broadcast on January 22 in 2013. After Bianna Golodryga was transferred to
Yahoo!, her debut as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend was announced on
August 9, 2014. News. ABC announced that she would be joining The View as a
cohost for season 19. The contract was renewed by ABC for its 20th season on
August 3. She was also renewed as co-host for Season 21. She was a regular
guest on episodes on Fridays in the 21st and 22nd seasons.
