Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was conceived in Ottawa,
Ontario, Canada on the 27th of August, 1976. Angie Chalke is her mother and
Doug Chalke are her father. She is the middle child. She has one older sister,
Natasha Chalke and one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah began her acting career in
the film City Boy (1992), an original television film. After her debut film,
Sarah auditioned in 1993 for the role "Becky" from Roseanne (1988).
The show was in search of the replacement for Alicia Goranson, who left the
show in order to attend university. Sarah graduated high school in 1995 and
began filming the 1994-1995 Roseanne (1988) season. Also, in 1994, Sarah
co-starred in the film Ernest Goes to School (1994), along with Jim Varney. In
1996, Sarah played in two films: Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against
Fear (1996), where she was an actress called Krista Wilson. Sarah was invited
to be a part in a 1998 TV show called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. The show
was released one year following Roseanne (1988). The show was based on the
television movie with the same name which was called Nothing Too Good for a
Cowboy (1998) in which Sarah was also in. She took over Becky's (1988) role
from Alicia Goranson. She stated that she would like to end her acting career
and pursue a degree in college. (2001) (1993-1997) Was the as the older sister
to Sara Gilbert on Roseanne (1988) although she's actually younger. She
attended the 1999 CCMA award ceremony, and was awarded an award to the most
successful single of 1999. [September 1999] Appeared in local Vancouver stage
productions, starting at age eight. Fluent in French, German and Spanish. She
helps out at a hospice that cares for children who are terminally ill and works
with the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. In her leisure time, Chalke prefers
cooking with friends (especially Thai and sushi) and playing guitar and hiking,
skiing (she's an instructor), snowboarding, kayaking and reading. Her father is
a lawyer, and her parents are mediators. They also operate an agency for the
adoption of children. She traveled with her parents to China two years ago to
help coordinate the adoptions of many orphans.
