Heather Nauert

  

Heather Ann Nauert was born on the 27th of January, 1970. She is an American broadcast journalist, and an official from the federal government. Heather served as Spokesperson for the United States Department of State under the Donald Trump administration. She is a senior fellow with the Hudson Institute, which is a think-tank for conservatives. Prior to her positions at the Department of State, she worked as an ABC News correspondent and news presenter on the Fox News program Fox & Friends. She also served as the Acting Secretary of State for Foreign Public Relations and Diplomacy during the Trump administration, between March and October 2018. Nauert was named to the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board in the year 2019 by Trump. Nauert is from Rockford, Illinois. Peter Nauert, her father, was an executive in an insurance company. She has three brothers Justin, Jonathan, and Joseph. Nauert was a student at Keith Country Day School in Rockford (Illinois), Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hills, Massachusetts and Arizona State University. After working as an intern at the Washington, DC country music video show, she continued her education and earned her Bachelor's Degree in communication from Mount Vernon College for Women that is now part of The George Washington University. Columbia University awarded her a master's degree in journalism.
