Food Network, as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network presenter with her distinctive spiky blonde hair and a exuberant personality, shares easy to learn techniques and eliminates intimidation of restaurants dishes on her TV show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell has also worked at several of the most prestigious eateries in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy, and battled on Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was infatuated by food. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in restaurant management after she earned an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced the most fun time of my life. Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic opportunity to pursue a degree. After graduation, Burrell spent one year studying in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working at Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, an Michelin-starred restaurant. In Italy Burrell developed a deep appreciation and understanding of Italian food and culture. This has had a profound impact on the way that Burrell cooks. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that aims to make a difference in children's lives who are facing challenges. Burrell is also a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador who promotes the awareness of juvenile diabetes. She travels frequently around the nation in her capacity as a mentor as well as a public speaker in which she speaks about her professional life and the joy of cooking. Anne has always been grateful she was able to share her passion of her life, and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
